Prof. Andreas Gross

Dr. Andreas Gross currently holds the title of Professor of Urology, awarded in 2001 by the Göttingen University of Medicine, Germany. He was Head of the Department of Urology of the „Marienkrankenhaus” Hospital in Bergisch Gladbach/Germany, teaching hospital of the University of Cologne/Germany between 2000 and 2005. presently he is the Head of the Department of Urology at the Asklepios Hospital in Hamburg, Germany.

He has graduated the Medical University of Lübeck, Germany in 1987 and began his medical career in the Department of Physiology at the same university. He completed his residency training in urology at the University Hospital in Berlin and Hamburg and was then appointed Consultant Urologist at the University Hospital in Göttingen. There he finished his professorial thesis in 1997 and became a Professor of Urology in 2001.

Professor Gross is a member of numerous academic societies - German Society of Urology, International Society of Urology, Society of Endourology, American Society of Urology etc. Prof. Gross has published over 100 reviewed journal articles, numerous book chapters, published abstracts, and had national/international lectures in 22 countries.

He has received numerous awards, both nationally and internationally. His main interest in Urology is represented by Endourology and lasers in urology.
